Born on July 4, 1996, in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Damini Bhatla is the daughter of CH Radha Krishna and Sri Jhansi. Growing up alongside her elder sister Mounima Bhatla, also a singer, Damini’s childhood was steeped in a musical ambiance. Initially introduced to the basics of Carnatic music by Smt. Akunda Satyavathi in Kakinada, Damini’s family eventually moved to Hyderabad, where her musical journey took a significant turn.

Under the guidance of mentors like Sri DV Mohan Krishna and Sri NC Murthy, Damini’s formal training in Carnatic music flourished. Balancing her studies at Little Flower Junior College in Hyderabad, Damini continued to participate in singing competitions and stage shows, displaying her talent and dedication.

Damini Bhatla Career

Damini Bhatla’s career gained momentum during her teenage years. She appeared in television shows such as “Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs” and notably participated in the revered singing reality show “Padutha Theeyaga” hosted by the legendary S.P. Balasubramanyam. Her exceptional talent shone through, and in 2011, she clinched the second prize in the competition, marking a pivotal moment in her career trajectory.

The turning point arrived when Damini lent her soulful voice to the enchanting song “Pachcha Bottesina” in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster “Baahubali: The Beginning.” The song, composed by MM Keeravani, garnered widespread acclaim and established Damini as a promising playback singer.
